One of a series, this dining table and chairs by John Makepeace for clients in Hong Kong is beautifully crafted from mulberry, wild cherrywood and cast bronze.  Unique and distinct in scale and form, the size required an innovative structural approach.  The leaf form is indicative of the solution where the central vein connects the main leg to the two supplementary ones, leaving the perimeter of the table free of obstruction.  This group exemplifies the innovation and craftsmanship John affords to all of his commissioned work.
